Obituary of Ada A. Linn

Ada Linn (97) long time resident of St. Maries, passed away on April 22, 2015 at 6:00 pm. She was born on November 4, 1917 to Chester and Alice Best in Brewer, AR. Ada was married to Willard Linn on January 1st in 1932. They moved to St. Maries in 1943 where Willard worked as a lumberjack, and Ada worked as a cook for Mueller’s Logging Company. Over the following years, Ada stayed busy with her children and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She taught Sunday school for over 25 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in St. Maries where services will be held. Ada enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and gardening passing on many talented gifts to her children and grandchildren. She won Blue Ribbons at the Benewah County Fair for her efforts. Ada spent her last few years under the loving care of her friends and Valley Vista. Ada will be missed by many but we celebrate her long and happy life. She was a good and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is responsible for leading many family members and little ones to the Lord. As Ada would say “Shine for Jesus” Ada is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Beverly Linn of St. Maries, her daughter and son-in-law Lois and Leonard O’Riley of Post Falls, ID. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jim, Kenneth, Oscar and Albert Best and sisters Eula Davis, Effie Brewer, Dana Davis, Virgie Spier and Bertha Moore. She was also preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law Alice and Glen O’Riley. A funeral service is planned for April 28, 2015 11:00 am at the Assembly of God Church in St. Maries. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, with a gathering of family and friends following at he Assembly of God Church.
