Obituary of Carl Patrick Reid

Carl Patrick Reid (13) of St. Maries, ID passed away on August 22, 2015 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID while surrounded by his family and friends. He was born to Bryan and Serena Reid on March 24, 2002 in St. Maries, ID. He was the eleventh blessing out of twelve children for the Reid family. Carl completed the seventh grade of homeschooling during the third year of his courageous fight with cancer. Carl loved the outdoors in Idaho. He spent his time camping in his tent, fishing, hiking, swimming, riding motorbikes, BMX, growing a garden, and playing the piano. His favorite color was orange. Carl attended Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Post Falls, ID and St. Joseph Chapel in St. Maries, ID. He was a member of the Catholic Cadets. Carl enjoyed history, especially WWII and Civil War. His favorite toys this past year were a remote control helicopter and his Legos. Carl is survived by his parents Bryan and Serena Reid of St. Maries, ID. He is also survived by his 11 siblings Natalie (Jack) Dionne, Douglas (Erin) Reid, Bridget Reid, Stephanie (Martin) Finlay, David Reid, Colin Reid, Martin Reid, Nathan Reid, Alaric Reid, Dominic Reid, and Marcus Reid. Carl loved his grandparents Mary Dittman and Fran Reid both of St. Maries, Dan (Vickie) Reid of Fairfield, WA. He loved his 3 nieces and 10 nephews, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and his God parents Stephanie Finlay and Patrick McQuade. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Dittman. A visitation for the public will be Thursday August 27, 2015 10:00 AM-3:30 PM at Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries, ID. The Holy Rosary will be prayed for Carl on Thursday August 27, 2015 - 7:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 495 Lincoln Street, Post Falls, ID. A Requiem Mass will be August 28, 2015 – 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church. A graveside service is scheduled for August 28, 2015 - 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries, ID. Following the graveside service, there will be a gathering of family and friends to share a meal at the Walker Building down at the Fairgrounds in St. Maries, ID.
