Obituary of Margaret Miller

Margaret Miller (73) passed away in St. Maries, ID on September 15, 2015. She was born to Raymond and Dorothy Burke in Seattle, WA on February 1, 1942. Margaret grew up in Seattle graduating from high school in 1960. Following high school she started her family and supported herself while working in a laundromat. Margaret followed her sister Stella to St. Maries where she met and married Gerald Miller in 1969. She raised her children while working in various restaurants and Benewah Community Hospital. Margaret later attended school through Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane where she was certified as an Environmental Specialist. She went to work for Valley Vista Care Center for 36 years retiring in early 2010. Along with her husband Gerald, the couple raised their granddaughter Ashley Miller for 6 years while she was working at Valley Vista. Margaret was loved by everyone and was the rock and foundation of her family. She very much enjoyed her family and grandkids. She would take each grandchild on an annual shopping trip to town where she would treat them with gifts and lunch. She also enjoyed canning, her dog, flowers, and going to coffee. Margaret is survived by her husband Gerald Miller at the family home, sons Curtis Osborn of St. Maries, Gerald Miller of Post Falls, and Brian (Jenifer Miller) of St. Maries, her daughters Debra Osborn of St. Maries, and LaVonne Scott of Federal Way, WA. She is also survived by her sisters Esther Myers of Burlington, WA, Helen Birch of Seattle, WA, Leslie Manning of Lancaster, CA, and Billie Gramps of Post Falls, ID, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great child on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Rayetta Teske, Ruth Marshall, Cathy Zelliff, Stella Braaten, and Judy Burke.
